Stowe's Spotlight

As we move into March, our school community will focus on the character trait cooperation. Cooperation means working together, listening to others, sharing responsibilities, and supporting teammates to reach a common goal. In classrooms, on the playground, and throughout the building, students will practice what it looks like to be respectful partners and helpful team members.

Learning to cooperate is an important life skill. When students collaborate, they build stronger friendships, solve problems more effectively, and create a positive learning environment for everyone. We encourage families to reinforce this skill at home by giving children opportunities to work together, share tasks, and talk through challenges as a team. Thank you for partnering with us as we continue building strong learners and caring leaders at Shedeck!

Stricker's Side Notes

March is here, and with it comes warmer weather, longer days, and that fresh burst of spring energy we all love! While we enjoy the sunshine and the excitement this season brings, we are also staying focused on strong procedures and consistent expectations across our building.

Spring can sometimes bring extra wiggles and excitement, so we will continue reinforcing routines that help our students feel safe, successful, and ready to learn each day. Consistency at school and at home makes such a difference as we head into the final stretch of the year.

We are proud of the growth our students have made so far and are committed to finishing the year strong — academically, socially, and behaviorally. Thank you for partnering with us as we work together to close out the year in a positive and purposeful way!

A Word With Mrs. Wilmes

Our Shedeck Book Swap is almost here! We are still collecting donations through March 4 for new or gently used children’s books tat you no longer want or need. The book swap will take place during the evenings of Parent/Teacher Conferences on March 9 and 12. Students will be able to browse our selection and choose books that will be theirs to take home and keep forever!

Book donations can be dropped off in the Shedeck library or sent to school with your children.

Thanks for helping our families build their home libraries. We hope to see everyone there!
