October 2026

Myers Elementary

It’s hard to believe October is already here and we are nearing the end of our first nine weeks! Our students have worked hard to settle into routines, build relationships, and grow as learners, and we are so proud of the progress we’ve seen throughout the building.

October brings lots of excitement with fall activities, special events, and plenty of learning still happening in our classrooms. We’re also looking forward to Fall Break—a chance for everyone to slow down, recharge, and enjoy a little extra time with family and friends before we jump into the next nine weeks.

Thank you for continuing to partner with us and support our students and staff. We have had a great start to the year and can’t wait to see what the next nine weeks bring. Happy October, Myers families!

Morning Drop Off

Our preferred drop-off route is to enter First Street from Vandament. This helps traffic flow smoothly in both directions and reduces U-turns, cutting into the line, and cars having to navigate around stopped traffic. We understand this may be less convenient for families coming from the north, but following the same route helps create a safer and more efficient drop-off for everyone. Please be patient, courteous, and aware of your surroundings, especially as we have students walking to school each morning.

Tips for a Smooth Drop-Off: Please have your child’s belongings gathered and ready before reaching the front of the line, and say your goodbyes ahead of time so they are ready to exit when you stop. Once your child is safely out of the car, please pull forward and allow our staff to help them into the building. For safety and traffic flow, please remain in your vehicle. If you need to get out of your car for any reason, please park and walk your child to the building.

DO NOT DROP STUDENTS OFF PRIOR TO 7:00AM.

Our staff is not on duty until 7:00. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Afternoon Pick Up Routes

Pre K Pick Up

If you do not have your tag, you will need to show a valid photo ID in the office before your child can be released. School dismisses at 2:30 PM.
